sogogachiA "compound win", whereby a player wins a contest by the combination of a waza-ari technique and a penalty by his opponent.
 
sonomamaReferee's word to freeze the action of the players during a contest. The call is usually made in ground work when the referee needs to check for an infringement of the rules, or to check the state of the player being held.
